The 30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 8

Day 8 is "a daily must-have item."  I cheated and pictured two things: one beauty related and one not so much.

In the scheme of things, I don't really need anything, even daily.  Beauty products are a luxury.  That said, the one thing I can't live without it some kind of brow product.  I will go out without foundation, concealer, lip products, anything, before I go without something in my brows.  I just think, for me, brows are the one thing that needs to be done on mah face.

The second thing is my giant planner.  I actually got a new one a couple months ago, but I am saving it for the new school year ('12-'13). I rely on my iPhone a lot, but in reality, I have to write things down.  Plus, lists, plans, notes are a huge part of my day job, so if I am without this bad boy, I am very lost.

The 30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 7

Day 7 is "clothing/product that evokes a good memory."

Believe it or not, this is the first thing I ever crocheted/knitted for myself!  It's a pretty simple mustard scarf. I've had it for a while, and it gets much MUCH love in horrific Chicago winters. My favorite wool coat is olive colored, so I made it especially to go with it.  This scarf makes me happy because it reminds me that there's really nothing better than, well, creating.  No matter what it is...a piece of writing, a DIY house project, a brand new recipe.  It's always an awesome, if slightly immodest, experience to get complimented on this and be able to say I made it when asked where I bought it :)

The 30 Day Photo Challlenge: Day 6

Day 6 is something I'd like to wear more often.  I had a lot of accessories in mind for this one.

So, I picked my awesome skull bracelet.  I don't wear it very often because it's kind of heavy, and my students always complain when I wear bracelets because they clang on the Elmo (overhead projector).

The 30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 5

Day 5 is your best bargain buy.

I've found some great buys over the years.  I found this dress on eBay for less than $5.  A brand new with tags Ann Taylor LOFT dress for $4 and some change.  It's a size 6, and I usually wear a 4 in LOFT, so I had to hem it, but totally worth a half an hour's work for five bucks, right?

The 30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 4

Told you I'd get behind!  Ah, well.

Day 4 is "favorite color of eyeshadow."

GREEN!  

Any type of green eyeshadow is <3.  Bronzey greens, olive greens, emeralds, sages...I love green so much that it's not just apparent in my eyeshadow choices.  I wear a ton of green, and the necklace above I actually wore today with a short sleeved navy blue dress and yellow pumps.
